Our Rancho Little League 2024 Upper Division Season kicks off Wednesday with our Junior & Senior tryouts! We look forward to getting the season going, below is a comprehensive explanation of Wednesday’s tryout.
Who: All Junior division players and Senior players who were not on a Senior division team last Spring.
Date: January 24
Location: Epicenter Sports Complex
8408 Rochester Ave, Rancho Cucamonga, 91730
Time: 6pm
Check-in will begin at 5:45 pm
Warm-ups are done on his/her own, so please have them stretch and throw before they tryout.
Have the player wear baseball or athletic clothing.

The players will be assessed in 4 ways:

Batting- they will have 5 swings at-bat with the balls pitched from our pitching machine.

Base Running- upon completion of batting, they will run out of the batter’s box to second base, simulating them hitting a double.

Ground Balls- they will then take 3 ground balls at Shortstop throwing each one to first base.

Fly balls- last, they will get 3 flyballs in left field, throwing the ball in to second base for 2 and home plate for their last flyball.
Upon completion of their assessment, the player can go home.
Reminder: Players that do not attend will be a hat pick and ineligible to be drafted up into a higher division. Just because your child tryouts, does not mean that your child will be drafted to a higher division. That is up to the managers drafting the teams from Minor division to Seniors in baseball.
